SUMMARY
The Lincoln Center Theater’s stunning production of South Pacific is finally coming to Melbourne.
Directed by Bartlett Sher, this ground-breaking production swept the 2008 Tony Awards® and played to sold-out houses on Broadway and the West End for two and a half years.
Now coming to Melbourne, South Pacific stars Lisa McCune as Nellie, Teddy Tahu Rhodes as Emile and Kate Ceberano as Bloody Mary.
Performances will feature a superb 25 piece orchestra playing what is undoubtedly one of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s most glorious scores, with showstoppers like ‘Some Enchanted Evening’, ‘I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair’, ‘Bali Ha’i’ and ‘There is Nothin’ Like a Dame’.
Relive the romance of this great musical event at Melbourne's Princess Theatre for just 10 weeks in September, October and November 2012.
