SUMMARY

Ko-Ko is in a fix. He has been neglecting his job as Lord High Executioner and now the Mikado is on his way to check up on his work. Somebody must die. Preferably not him.

Get ready to meet three little maids from school, a wand’ring minstrel and, as Lord High Executioner, singer, actor and star of hit show Avenue Q, Mitchell Butel. Gilbert and Sullivan’s gloriously funny Japanese fantasy is back.

What makes this show such a favourite? Perhaps it is the whimsical sets and glorious costumes. Perhaps it is the big orchestral sound and the award-winning Opera Australia Chorus. Maybe it is the excuse to have a grand old giggle. Whatever the reason, make sure you don’t miss this great night in the theatre.

Performed in English with English surtitles.
Running time: Two hours and forty minutes including one twenty-minute interval.
