Do you love opera? Would you like to be involved in 
life behind the scenes at Opera Australia? If you are looking for arts volunteer opportunities in Sydney or Melbourne, you can join us by donating your time and skills to support Australia's national opera company.
 
Opera Australia has an extensive volunteer program. Our opera volunteers contribute to the Company in many ways, from guiding tours of the Opera Centre to assisting in the Opera Australia Wardrobe department.
 
If you have the time and the passion, we'd love to have you involved backstage at Opera Australia.

Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour: La Traviata

For three weeks only beginning in March one of the greatest operas ever written, La Traviata, will be performed on a purpose-built shimmering stage on the waters of Sydney Harbour. Applications are now open for volunteer ushers and administrators for Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour.

If you have experience or an interest in events, wish to be a part of something spectacular and can spare a minimum of 4 hours per week, we would love you to join our team. You will not only enjoy the experience of working on the most breathtaking stage in the world, Sydney Harbour, but you will also receive a fabulous T-shirt along with two complimentary tickets to attend one of the performances.

Volunteers will be expected to attend an induction session prior to your first shift. Please note that times/dates of induction training will be confirmed closer to the event.
