Bookings for Set Series Subscriptions will close on Friday 21 September 2012.
Choose Your Own Subscriptions are available throughout the year.
Unless otherwise specified, evening performances commence at 7:30pm, Wednesday/Saturday matinees at 1:00pm and Sunday matinees at 2.00pm except South Pacific Sunday matinees, which commence at 3.00pm.
All subscribers may exchange their tickets to any other performance in the 2013 season.
Subscribers may exchange their tickets from 14 November 2012, and all exchanges are free up until 31 December 2012.
Each subscription will come with 1 free exchange voucher for use during the 2013 season. Any additional exchanges will incur a small fee.
To exchange your tickets call (02) 9318 8200 and reserve seats to the opera(s) of your choice, and one of our Customer Service Representatives will talk you through returning your original tickets and advise of any fees.
How do I exchange my tickets?
Subscribers can purchase additional tickets to the 2012 and 2013 season at a discount of 10% off the published standard price.
If you are purchasing your 2012 additional tickets online, remember to log in before you make your booking. Your discount will be applied automatically.
If you do not have an Opera Australia online account you will need to set it up 24 hours before making your online booking, to ensure that we can provide your discount. Or, you can book immediately by phone - just call + 61 2 9318 8200 during business hours.
To book additional tickets for the 2013 season, you will need to ring the Opera Australia box office on Sydney (02) 9318 8200 or Melbourne (03) 9685 3700.
Subscriptions can be paid in 4 instalments and are only available to subscribers paying by credit card.
The first payment will be processed on receipt of your booking. The remaining 3 instalments will be charged to the same card on Wednesday 21 November 2012, Wednesday 16 January 2013, Wednesday 6 March 2013
Instalments incur a $40 fee per order, which will be spread equally over the 4 payments.
If you wish to pay by instalments, your Subscription Form must be received by Friday 21 September 2012 and must include two winter performances. Instalments are not currently available online.
Please note that instalment payments are only available for subscription packages. Any additional tickets or donations will be charged in full with your first subscription instalment payment.

For children aged 16 years and under a special child subscription price of $55 per ticket is available for all matinee performances, and all Monday to Friday performances of The Magic Flute.
If you book concession tickets online, you will need to provide proof of entitlement before your tickets are posted out. You can do this by sending a photocopy, scan or photo of your concession card to Opera Australia Ticket Services:

You will also need to take your concession ID to the performance to ensure admission.
Concessions are not available on Saturday evenings.
Youth Subscriptions can include a minimum of three and a maximum of six operas.
To purchase a Youth Subscription you must be 30 years of age or under on 1 January 2013.
If you book a Youth Subscription online, you will need to provide proof of age for each person before your tickets are posted out. You can do this by sending a photocopy, scan or photo of your ID to Opera Australia Ticket Services:
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
All prices include GST where applicable.
Please indicate in the Special Request section of your booking if you require a wheelchair space and access.

There is an Opera Australia Customer Service Desk at each performance venue. It opens one hour before each performance to assist with ticket and subscription enquiries.
Replacement tickets can be arranged by calling (02) 9318 8200 prior to the performance and can only be collected from the Opera Australia Customer Service Desk at the Sydney Opera House immediately prior to the performance. Proof of ID will need to be shown.
Free pre-performance opera talks are presented throughout the year and begin 45 minutes before the performance.
