ANTHONY HUNT (ASSISTANT CHORUS MASTER)
Background: Recently finished studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London. At the Academy, he worked on Le nozze di Figaro (Sir Colin Davis), La Calisto (Anthony Legge), Hansel und Gretel (Sian Edwards), L'occasione fa il ladro (Dominic Wheeler), and played harpsichord continuo for La fedeltà premiata with Trevor Pinnock. He also conducted and coached many sets of opera scenes. Graduated from the Elder Conservatorium, University of Adelaide and was associated with the State Opera of South Australia for a number of years, as musical director of many Young Artist Studio productions. These include Les mamelles de Tirésias, L'enfant et les sortilèges (programmed as part of the 2004 Ring Cycle festival), Sunday in the Park with George, and Candide. Has also repetiteured for the mainstage productions of La traviata, Nabucco, Little Women, L’elisir d’amore and Le nozze di Figaro. Anthony has also been a participant in the Symphony Australia Conductor Development Program
