OUR HOME

The Opera Centre in Sydney is Opera Australia's main base.  This is where we bring together all the elements that go into making an opera.

The Opera Centre houses our:

• Set design and building workshop
• Scenic art workshop
• Costumes department
• Wigs and props department
• Rehearsal rooms – for chorus, orchestra, staging rehearsals, dance rehearsals, vocal coaching and auditions
• Music Library
• Archives
• Management, marketing and administration

The Opera Centre in Southbank is home during our Melbourne seasons and full-time home for Oz Opera. There are regular tours of The Opera Centre in Sydney if you wish to see the Company in action.
